Lydia Circle Meets on Second Wednesdays

The women's Bible study group, Lydia Circle, now meets in the Fireside Room on the second Wednesday of the month from September to May. Claranna Vytlacil will lead our next meeting on February 8 at 1:30 p.m. All women and friends of the church are invited.

Knitters Pick Up Needles Monday Mornings

Knit 1 Purl 1 meets at 10:00 a.m. every Monday morning. Anyone interested in knitting and/or crocheting is welcome. Come and see! Prayers shawls, children’s hats, mittens and scarves are some of the items that the group creates.

New projects are in the wind; you can expect not only knitting, but laughter and engaging conversations evolving around many different topics.

WELCA Posts Women's Web Sites

Women of the ELCA has launched two Web sites for women: www.womenoftheelca.org and www.lutheranwomantoday.org. Stop by for a visit and then often to see what's new. You can also find link to the online magazine, Cafe, an e-zine for women age 20-35 who seek community, advocacy, faith and enlightenment in their lives.

The new www.womenoftheelca.org site includes the "nuts and bolts" of the organizational structure under About Us. Using the Women of the ELCA purpose statement as a guide, What We Do is the place to look for current programming. The News & Events, Resources, and Get Involved sections speak for themselves.

The welcome mat is out. Stop in at your convenience.
